108-FAG is highly suitable for applications where substantial misalignment or shaft deflections may occur. Also, self-aligning bearings have the lowest friction of all rolling-element bearings. Even at higher speeds, there is only limited frictional heat. These bearings are capable of handling high radial loads. To a lesser extent, they can be axially loaded in both directions.
